Grill Guys was founded at the end the summer of 2018. Brooks’ uncle, Cameron Gammill, had a grease fire in his grill on Nantucket. Brooks the next day took the initiative and cleaned the grill and Grill Guys was born.
Brooks, the original Grill Guy, has cleaned over 750 grills and has quickly learned the ins and outs of all different types of grill models.
Prior to founding Grill Guys LLC, Brooks Co-founded a backyard Sports Camp Braveheart LLCin 2013 in New Canaan and successfully grew the backyard fun for six consecutive years. Brooks also Co-founded B-Quick Hockey, a fun and competitive hockey camp for kids in our local area. Both camps were a success for multiple years and run by the Gammill brothers.
Brooks graduated from Berkshire in 2019 and attended Colby College where he played on the hockey team. However, due to multiple injuries Brooks decided to hang up the skates and pursue entrepreneurship. Brooks worked as an intern in the winter of 2022 in Miami, FL learning how to successfully franchise businesses. Brooks graduated from Trinity College in December of 2023.
His full time job is co-founder of his new startup venture, RecruitU, an online undergrad finance and consulting recruitment platform. Brooks currently lives and works in NYC, but on the weekends in the summer he travels to his grill cleaning franchise locations to make sure customers get the same care he delivered for the very first grill he cleaned 6 years ago.
